Group’s Motto: “Ang pagturo ng PMDAS sa kabataan ay makatutulong sa kanilang kinabukasan.”

Courseware title: BUBOY at ang Mundo ng PMDAS

Courseware type: Game

Lesson to be taught: Math: PMDAS (Parethesis-Multiplication-Division-Addition-Subtraction)

Target age range/grade: Grade 5 students (Probably ages 11-13)

1. Did the group cover the scope/s they want to achieve?

The PAPIGURA group has done a good job on the visuals. The group hasn’t stated whether or not they are done with their project, but their idea is good and our group hopes that they are done with their ebook.

2. & 3. What enhancement/s should the project include? Comments/Suggestions on specific items/parts of the project?

Children aren’t usually fond of rbooks but with nice pictures, they might change their mind. Moreover, ebooks aren’t really fun to read so the group has to add some interesting stuff that may attract children into learning. Overall, the storybook is cute and our group likes it.

Based on their blog, Team Woof has stated last October that they were nearly done on their project. Although they haven’t updated, our group assumes that they are finished with their courseware, polished and all, as of this moment and they have probably covered every scope they want to achieve.

2. & 3. What enhancement/s should the project include? Comments/Suggestions on specific items/parts of the project?

We suggest they update their blog so that we could have an idea on their courseware. We also would like to commend the group for finishing early.

Yes, definitely. Team Kare’s courseware looks really fun and interesting. Our group thinks that the children will enjoy learning graphs or graping through this courseware.

We love how colourful their courseware is. It will definitely attract children. They did a good work on their project and we would like to commend them for that. Our group is especially drawn to this courseware. 😀

Yes! They have a lot of topics that they included in the game. They also have a good concept on how they connected different topics in one game.
2 &3. What enhancement/s should the project include? And are there any comments/suggestions on specific items/parts of the project?

We think that the game is great and it already has math, science and history in it so we can’t suggest more enhancements. Maybe they can try to reduce the scope since based on their blog, there are only two of them left.

There were no screen caps or images to verify their progress but since they mentioned that they are done with the preparation for their courseware, our group hopes that they are satisfied with their work and that they have achieved their goals for their courseware.

2. What enhancement/s should the project include?

Our group cannot decide on this since we have nothing to base our opinions on.

3. Comments/suggestions on specific items/parts of the project?

The same goes for this question.  Our group cannot decide on this since we have nothing to base our opinions on, but we hope this group considered the factors that will lead to a successful courseware, such as the age bracket of the users of their courseware, and the locality of the project.

Based on their blog, group M3’s topic are the different human body  systems like the digestive system and the muscular system. Those topics are part of the curriculum of grades 4-5 so our group thinks that they covered the objective they want to acheive.

2 &3. What enhancement/s should the project include? And are there any comments/suggestions on specific items/parts of the project?
We think that the monster idea is great since you can’t really “make” a human. So in their game, where the children will be assembling the parts of the body systems like the bones and others, maybe they just have to limit the pictures of the body parts to simple ones so the children can still understand and learn something at the same time.

Yes! The scope of their courseware is basically about different topics in science. Their courseware is a creative way to present those topics in science and the clickables in their project makes it more interesting.

2 &3. What enhancement/s should the project include? And are there any comments/suggestions on specific items/parts of the project?

From what I remember during the presentation, some people suggested to make it more connected to the theme about nature and make the house look more “Filipino”. But we think that the house is already fine, just add more nature stuff.

 

Game Title: Buboy at Ang Mundo ng PMDAS

Meduim of Instruction: English/Filipino

CHARACTERS:

  • Buboy (Protagonist)- Buboy, a law-abiding bee citizen of the Kingdom of Mathsaya, will try to save the kingdom after the mean lion named Leon Leon Sinta eats the holy book of P-MDAS and creates chaos on Mathsaya.

  • Leon Leon Sinta (Antagonist)– Leon Leon Sinta is a mean lion who wants fear and confusion to reign in the Kingdom of Mathsaya. He will eat the holy rule book of P-MDAS which will cause confusion on the citizens.

  • Mga mamamayan- They are the law-abiding citizens of the peaceful kingdom of Mathsaya, where they follow every rule in the holy rule book of P-MDAS by heart. Until, Leon Leon Sinta eats the rule book and the citizens, blinded by the fear created by the lion, forgets the all P-MDAS rules.
